The $ 5,000 is the total of all bookings made to date on DonorTravel.com. A percentage of that amount is paid back to the travel firm in commission and then half of that amount is donated by DonorTravel.com to charity. Commissions vary among hotels, cruises, car rentals and airlines. For example, today, airlines pay a flat commission of just $ 5 for every flight reservation, regardless of distance traveled or complexity of the itinerary.
