Calxeda, the company redefining the server, today proudly welcomes new Trailblazers to the program it launched mid June. Announced today at Super Computing 2011 as Calxedas newest Trailblazer Partners are Boston Limited, MapR Technologies, ScaleIO and uCirrus. This news follows Calxedas public launch of its EnergyCore processor, and an announcement by Hewlett Packard to incorporate Calxedas EnergyCore SoC into its Redstone Server development platform, an effort dubbed Project Moonshot.
We have gotten fantastic industry response to our Trailblazer Program and our recent product announcement, said Karl Freund, Calxeda Vice President of Marketing. We launched Trailblazers in mid June with 10 industry leaders as founding members. Today, we add four new Trailblazers, each of whom will work with Calxeda to deliver truly industry changing energy efficient server solutions.
Calxeda Trailblazers include Systems Integrators and ISVs, especially those focused on analytics, Big Data and cloud computing. The Trailblazer partners are working with Calxeda and end-users to build and characterize integrated solutions for fast-growing markets such as web serving, cloud hosting, Big Data applications, scalable analytics, media streaming and mid-tier infrastructure such as caching and in-memory scalable databases.
